Rough-in to finish, by the same electrician

On a new build the electrical goes in stages: the service and panel, rough-in while the walls are open, then fit off once the finishes are in. Getting the early stages right is what makes the rest go smoothly, and it is the cheapest time to put capacity and circuits where they will be needed later.

Daniel works through each stage to code and stays in touch from the first call to the final inspection, so you always know where the electrical side of the build stands.

Common questions about new construction

What does rough-in electrical mean?

Rough-in is the stage where wiring, boxes and circuits are installed while the walls and ceilings are still open, and it is typically inspected before insulation and drywall go on. Fit off comes later, when devices, fixtures and covers are installed and the system is finished and tested.

Can you plan for an EV charger or a generator on a new build?

Yes, and a new build is the easiest time to do it. Capacity and circuits for an EV charger, a standby generator or a future basement can be planned into the service and panel from the start, which costs far less than adding them after the walls are closed.

Who looks after the electrical permit on a new build?

Daniel takes care of the electrical permit and arranges the inspections for the electrical work. He stays in touch from the first call to the final inspection, so you always know which stage the electrical is at and what comes next, without having to chase anyone for an update.
